Project Component

An enabling condition is the existence of policies and regulations for sustainable agriculture and commodities that support regional and national programs towards sustainable, inclusive, and broad-scale farmer transformation through a well-functioning multi-stakeholder platform at the national level.

The creation of innovative technology, business and financing models, with a particular focus on the needs of small-scale producers, communities and women’s entrepreneurship, designed and tested in the field.

Establishment of a roadmap to improve and mainstream inclusive, sustainable, and transparent small-scale producer commodity chains with the involvement of local governments and stakeholders developed at the sub-national level.

Development of a knowledge management system and digital data portal to effectively collect and disseminate knowledge and information on sustainable commodities to all stakeholders, which will continue to be updated even after SFITAL ends.
